'I wanted to live at a College so I could fully focus on my Uni life and study, and not have to worry about cooking and paying bills. I’ve always wanted to come to Melbourne to study and I definitely would have had trouble finding good, affordable accommodation if I hadn’t received a scholarship. I feel very grateful for being a part of the wonderful community at Medley.'

I found out about Medley from the colleges website. Medley stood out as different, more my kind of thing, and I really liked the values that Medley stands for. The building is real eye-catcher too, really stunning! It’s got an aura about it.

The community is great especially because as a first year it can be hard to make new friends in classes. I’m glad I have lots of people here at Medley and everyone gets along with each other. It’s great having the support at Medley. It feels homely and the attitude of all the staff is great. I also really like the location, and the facilities. I love that you get all the benefits of having this beautiful old building but with new living areas.
I’m glad I have lots of people here at Medley and everyone gets along with each other. You can message people on ‘group chat’ and see what’s happening. It’s great because you have this network of people and there is always someone willing to do something. I never feel lonely.
A couple of weekends ago, one of the residents who has an Indian background organised dinner, at an Indian restaurant and a group of us went out. After dinner we decided to check out the Moomba festival. We went on a few rides and I thought to myself ‘if I was living on my own, I probably wouldn’t have done so many fun things!’.
3 words to describe Medley: Inclusive, Community and Sustainability which is something that really matters to me.
