'The people at Medley make living here enjoyable. It’s a small-enough cohort to be able to connect with everyone at the College, and I've made some really good memories and relationships. Also, the support here is fantastic! I feel that if there is anything that I need, academically or administratively, that there is someone out there looking out for me; there is a genuine ‘care factor.’

Hi my name is Sophia and I started playing the violin when I was 11. I’m currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Music. I’m in my mid-20's and worked for a few years before I started Uni. I’m also a life model and do freelance music work for concerts and recordings all over the city.

I found out about Medley when I got my offer from the University of Melbourne. I panicked a bit because I needed to find a place to live as I was coming to Melbourne from regional NSW. I wanted to live in University student accommodation as I was transitioning from working full time to studying full time and needed to live in a nurturing environment.

I really enjoy coming into the main dining hall and sharing a meal together with the people that live here. It is also great that the kitchen staff here really care about the food they prepare.

I was the 2021 President of the Student Club, and led a team of extremely passionate and generous residents who contribute to the many areas of community life. The student club is led by students for students and contributes significantly to the experience the residents have at College. Despite the pandemic we were really busy last year, and we had to be very adaptable to be able to deal with the challenges that were thrown at us!
